Vol. 1, Chapter 4 - Hualalai
The wind carried the scent of salt and plumeria as Madeline stepped barefoot onto the black sand. The island felt alive beneath her— like a heartbeat in the lava rock.
She thought the trail ended in Marrakech. But days later, tucked inside the sketchbook, another lavender envelope appeared. No instructions. Just a single drawing: a plumeria blossom.
And now here she was.
A perfect spiral of white flowers led her across the cooled lava field. At the center: a stone bowl of tea, still warm. Tucked beneath it, a folded note on lavender parchment.
She unfolded it slowly. In an unfamiliar script, it read: He found it too. The island was listening. And someone else was searching.
